Argentine digital health startup launches platform to unify medical data and improve diagnostics

Keila turned seven years without a diagnosis into the foundation of Cromodata, a platform that digitizes and anonymizes health information.
For seven years, Keila Barral Masri lived with undiagnosed seizures and a fragmented system where her clinical data was never integrated. That experience led to the creation of Cromodata, Latin America’s first marketplace for de-identified health data.
Its mission is clear: organize health information, enable more accurate diagnostics, and advance medical research in Argentina and the region.
A platform that connects hospitals, labs, and technology
In nine months, Cromodata integrated 47 hospitals, gathered 19 million medical images, and added institutions interested in interoperating their data under strict security standards.
The company connects hospitals, laboratories, pharmaceutical companies, and AI firms through a secure exchange system that removes any information that could identify a patient.
International-standard anonymization
The startup uses anonymization mechanisms based on HIPAA standards, preventing the re-identification of individuals through data reengineering.
Keila emphasizes that “science needs data — but obtained the right way.” Her team includes professionals who have also experienced difficulties within the healthcare system.
